Step 2: Obtaining AD Code Letter from Bank

• Request an AD Code letter from your bank. This letter is an essential document for registering an AD Code on ICEGATE.

• The bank will provide a letter with details like the bank's name, address, branch, account number, AD Code, and IFSC Code.

Step 3: Online Registration of AD/IFSC Code Registration

• Log in to your ICEGATE account and select the 'Bank Account Management' option.

• Upload necessary documents, including the bank authorization letter, on e-SANCHIT and generate an IRN (Import Reference Number).

• Enter the IRN number and ICEGATE ID for AD Code registration. Submit the application and complete mobile OTP verification.

• The application will be reviewed by customs officials, and upon approval, your AD Code will be registered.

Step 4: Register for Drawbacks (IFSC Code Registration)

• This process is integral for businesses looking to claim refunds on duties paid on imported goods, which are subsequently exported.
